    Data Manager & Programmer

     

    Description

    The individual in this position is responsible for establishing and ensuring that best practices in data management and programming are instituted for the Health Analytics Department, and for implementing adequate processes to meet regulatory requirements.  This individual is also responsible for preparation of datasets including quality control and related documentation, and for writing SAS, SPSS or other programming code to create datasets to support analysis for the Health Analytic Department including NAVIPPRO surveillance reports, Internet surveys, NIH/NIDA funded field trials, and other requests.  In addition, this individual will serve as a liaison for Health Analytics with other departments within Inflexxion regarding overall data quality and data automation processes. 

     

    Required Skills

    • Expert level programming skills using SAS or SPSS to meet the challenges of advanced data manipulation, complicated programming logic, and large data volume is required
    • Proven capability of developing sophisticated SAS or SPSS or other macro applications
    • Demonstrated independent capability to write SAS, SPSS or other code, manipulate data sets to convert and merge data files, and to perform quality checks of datasets and output
    • Ability to anticipate and analyze reasons for delays, must take the initiative to make changes that will improve processes, procedures or will increase efficiency
    • Experience in creating audit trails and documentation
    • Familiarity with applicable regulations and 21CFR Part 11 compliance requirements
    • Proficient writing and verbal communication skills in English
    • Proficient with SAS and MS Office Suite applications
    • Experience with SPSS and SQL desired
    • Prior experience working on multidisciplinary teams in a CRO or bio-pharmaceutical is a plus 

     

    Duties

    • Responsible for maintenance and management of all datasets in the Health Analytics Department, including external data streams
    • Conducts data management activities including preparation of queries to clean and close datasets for client reports, surveys, or industry or grant-funded projects
    • Writes software code (e.g., SAS, SPSS, etc.) to create datasets, manipulate and transform data according to analysis plans/specifications provided by biostatisticians and epidemiologists for surveillance reporting, surveys, grant projects, and other assignments
    • Conducts data quality verification checks on datasets prior to analysis
    • Prepares related documentation including coding manuals and quality control records
    • Creates standards and best practices for data management and programming to meet the needs of the Health Analytics Department and comply with regulatory requirements
    • Defines and anticipates processes for databases/datasets creation and maintenance to maximize multipurpose uses
    • Assists in development, documentation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure integrity of department data management and associated datasets
    • Analyzes current and projected future database performance requirements; fine-tunes or recommends equipment/software changes when necessary
    • Participates as active team member on company committees specifically addressing data integrity and database quality improvements
    • Collaborates with the Business Analyst and other team members to write specifications for data variable definitions, content of analysis datasets and data acquisition from all proprietary data streams and to assist in problem solving data discrepancies within downloaded datasets 
    • Interacts with technical support team and vendors to schedule upgrades, modifications, and required maintenance to software and to prevent system failures 

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a data management and SAS, SPSS or other programming role involving preparation of datasets and analysis coding for data outputs used for regulatory submissions
    • Bachelor degree required Master degree preferred, in computer science, social science or related field
    • Additional training in SAS/SPSS or certification in SAS/SPSS Base and Advanced Programming, SAS Macro, SQL development desired

    Lead Generation Specialist

     

    Description

    This fast-paced position on our marketing team will focus on generating qualified leads through cold calling and following up on responses to marketing campaigns to promote new or existing products. Inflexxion portfolio currently includes products such as PainCAS, ASI/BHI and CHAT. 

     

    Required Skills

    • Telemarketing, cold calling and/or phone sales experience required
    • Experience with presenting information via web meeting preferred
    • Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM is preferred
    • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience

     

    Duties

    • Prospecting, qualifying and generating sales ready leads
    • Significant time spent cold calling and researching prospect lists
    • Utilize social media channels to find leads and gather information
    • Follow up on and qualify leads from campaigns, webinars etc.
    • Monitor and nurture leads to prepare them for sales
    • Achieve monthly quote for qualified leads passed to sales
    • Use Salesforce.com to manage lead management activities and campaigns
    • Assist with marketing program development as needed

    Research Assistant

     

    Description

    This position is part of Inflexxion's Health Analytics Department.

     

    Required Skills

    • Proficient with MS Office Suite applications; MS Word, MS Excel
    • Experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS) a plus.
    • Experience with qualitative data analysis software (NVivo) a plus
    • Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and willingness to work in a matrix cross-functional environment.
    • Intellectually curious, fast learner, can work independently and willing to seek and receive guidance as needed from team members, other scientists and direct manager. 

     

    Duties

    • Support ongoing surveillance report preparation and research project tasks in Health Analytics Department, including:
    • Conduct qualitative coding for data analysis.
    • Create tables/charts/graphs from research data
    • Perform regular quality control practices for data collection, storage, and analysis, as assigned
    • With supervision, perform descriptive data analyses and draft summaries for scientific reports
    • Perform literature searches and summarize research findings as assigned.
    • Create survey programming, monitor survey recruitment and maintain data for assigned survey projects. 
    • Provide general research support to department research scientists on grant and commercially-funded studies and research projects, including but not limited to generating presentations and meeting materials, assisting with grant and proposal submissions, preparing Institutional Review Board applications.
    • Perform primary data collection including obtaining informed consent from research subjects, as assigned.
    • This position may transition to gradually increased responsibility.

     

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in biological, social sciences or related field with excellent academic record.
    • Demonstrated experience in quantitative or qualitative research.
    • Experience or knowledge related to principles of scientific research.
    • Proficient writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Interest in research on the subjects of drug abuse and public health.

    Senior Accountant

     

    Description

    The Senior Accountant will take ownership of all project accounting. Responsible for AR/AP, Payroll, full accounting process including producing P&L and Financial Statements and ensuring monthly/quarterly/annual close completed in a timely fashion. Manages a small accounting staff as well as manages the Office Manager and building.

     

    Required Skills

    • Progressive accounting experience within small to mid-sized companies

    Duties

    • Administer and assume ownership of automated project tracking and accounting system (Deltek Vision)
    • Manage month-end close and prepare monthly financial statements
    • Implement short-range and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and standard operating procedures
    • Prepare/review journal entries and account reconciliations at month-end
    • Responsible for integrity of financial records, including supporting schedules and subsidiary ledgers
    • Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas
    • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports
    • Oversee A/P, A/R, Invoicing, and Payroll functions (Provide backup when needed)
    • Coordinate external audits
    • Maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
    • Aid in development and implementation of control policies and procedures
    • Responsible for IT maintenance of Deltek and working with outsourced IT
    • Responsible for renewing insurance policies
    • Liaison with attorneys for any Copyright, Trademark, or Patent Work
    • Responsible for Workers Compensation Audit
    • Responsible for General Liability Audit 

     

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA in Accounting, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.  Masters and/ or CPA preferred
