    Account Executive for the Behavioral Health Products Sales Team

    We currently have an opening for an Account Executive for the Behavioral Health Products Sales Team. This web-enabled, software product line is used primarily by large behavioral health providers, state and county health agencies, and behavioral health partners. We are looking for an outgoing sales person who is comfortable prospecting for new customers and developing compelling strategies that lead to significant revenue opportunities. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is comfortable bringing new ideas to the table in an environment that values initiative and collaboration. On a daily basis you will be working closely with the VP of Clinical Development, the VP of Sales and Marketing, and other members of the product leadership and customer support teams.

    Contracted Health Writer

     

    Description

    We seek an experienced, creative health writer to help develop content for a text-message intervention program on a contracted basis. The text messages will support patients living with chronic pain who are taking part in a Medicaid-based chronic pain program.  Specifically, the health writer will generate theory-based, patient-informed messages and will provide recommendations on text message delivery.  The duration of the project is 2 months and the ideal start date is September 1, 2014.     Epidemiologist

     

    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Epidemiologist with an interest or background in drug abuse or disease surveillance to join our Health Analytics Department.  This position will be responsible for carrying out a range of analytical epidemiologic investigations for client-based and other research projects including advanced descriptive and comprehensive analyses of surveillance data regarding substance use/abuse and other health outcomes.  The Epidemiologist will work closely with the Senior Director of Observational Epidemiology and other Inflexxion senior researchers/epidemiologists to plan, design, and conduct analyses for epidemiologic investigations as well as assist in development of study protocols, statistical analysis plans and writing scientific reports.  The ideal candidate should have a PhD or master degree with experience in epidemiology or public health and demonstrated skills with data analysis, survey methodology, interpretation and reporting of public health trends. 

     

    Required Skills

    • Proficient in SAS and/or SPSS coding and the analysis of data utilizing statistical software.
    • Sound understanding of collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
    • Understanding of application and conduct of statistical methods (e.g., univariate and multivariate regression, stratified analyses).
    • Experience working with large databases and surveillance data.
    • Database manipulation skills, with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite applications, including MS Excel and MS Access.
    • Knowledge and experience with ArcGIS and/or SQL is a plus.

    Duties

    • Conduct epidemiologic analyses of surveillance data regarding substance use/abuse and other health outcomes data from Inflexxion’s proprietary and national databases.
    • Analyze data from multiple sources with the goal of identifying patterns and trends within defined populations.
    • Write proposals/grant applications, determine methodological techniques, hypothesis generation, and develop study protocols and statistical analysis plans. 
    • Develop, conduct, and analyze data from health-related surveys of various populations.
    • Work with scientific team to address client report development needs.
    • Prepare abstracts, slides and posters for presentations of project results.
    • Serve as independent project lead: coordinating tasks and work plans for assigned HA projects and client deliverables.
    • Participate in client-facing project meetings and interface with account managers and project team in order to coordinate deliverables.
    • May provide technical leadership, guidance and coordinate work of entry-level epidemiologists and research assistants. 

     

    Qualifications

    • PhD or Master (MS/MPH) degree with 5 or more years of experience in applied epidemiology, public health or related discipline or other experience conducting public health research.
    • Ability to apply epidemiological principles and methods to the analysis of health surveillance data, as well as evaluate and interpret epidemiological and statistical data.
    • Ability to interpret the significance of health and other data obtained from a variety of sources and draw appropriate conclusions.
    • Ability to identify the need for further investigation or other public health action from assessment of current data.
    • Have a sound understanding of research methodology including survey development.

    Health Analytics Project Coordinator

     

    Description

    This role requires support to the Senior Directors in Inflexxion’s Health Analytic (HA) Department in managing Inflexxion Data Services. Inflexxion provides a variety of epidemiologic and social science research services around behavioral health and substance abuse research for industry customers (e.g., industries regulated by the FDA, such as pharmaceutical and tobacco companies) as well as Federal grants (generally National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants). This role supports organizational and administrative activities, processes, work flow and resourcing associated with a broad range of research activities (processes, resourcing, timelines, etc.). This role collaborates with other Inflexxion departments including Program Management Organization, Software Engineering/User Experience, Sales & Marketing, and Finance. 

     

    Required Skills

    • Ability to assist in the writing/editing of memos and other research-related documents or materials as appropriate.
    • Ability to communicate between staff of all levels of scientific and technical knowledge.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Facility in Microsoft Suite and management software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS project, etc.).
    • Supervisory experience a plus.

     

    Duties

    Supports HA Department’s Senior Directors in managing Inflexxion data services, including the following:
    • Management of Health Analytics departmental and grant budgets.
    • Monitoring deliverables, delegation of projects, establishing and tracking timelines.
    • Grant processes—including preparation, submission, resourcing and tracking.
    • Creating and ensuring adherence to SOP’s for efficient and effective contracting, reporting and QA processes.
    • Developing and reviewing scientific content of contracts including timelines, and scopes of work.
    • Tracking resource requirements and workflow for Health Analytics department
    • Facilitates communication with technological infrastructure and communication with IT and Development Engineers

    • Works with Product Managers, Development Engineers and User Experience on data collection, program updates and fixes in a timely and efficient manner on behalf of Senior Directors.
    • Supports administrative and organizing tasks to meet Health Analytics Department’s training needs
    • Develops and drafts presentation materials to support new and existing client meetings
    • Assist Health Analytic department scientists with manuscript and conference presentation planning, processing, tracking, and monitoring
    • Manage contracts with data, software and other vendors
    • Manage and facilitate collaboration with other departments including scheduling and coordinating meetings and materials.
    • Other related duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    • Prefer masters level degree with 5+ years administrative experience in a research environment.
    • Working knowledge of behavioral and/or epidemiological research.
    • Strong organizational skills and able to work with collaboratively with many disciplines.

    Research Coordinator

     

    Description

    The Research Coordinator assists in the execution of interactive web health education and intervention projects at all phases, including formative research, product development, and clinical trials. The primary responsibility of the Research Coordinator is to assist the research team in assuring of the accurate conduct of clinical trials from study start-up through study completion. The RC works within teams and has reports to the Director of the PMO.  The ideal candidate has an interest in behavioral health research in areas that include pain management, substance abuse, and college health.

    Research Scientist

     

    Description

    Research scientists at Inflexxion are involved with various types of research, including:

    1) Designing and evaluating technology-driven intervention programs and patient resources that promote positive health behaviors, such as treatment adherence, healthy chronic disease self-management, and more effective interactions between patients and health care providers

    2) Designing and conducting outcome and psychometric instrument development studies

    3) Developing, validating and assessing novel surveillance and bioinformatics tools, including those that use social media, electronic momentary assessment (EMA), or other emerging technologies

    4) Designing observational studies to conduct evaluations, uncover risk and protective factors, and/or assess putative associations in the disease areas or populations of main focus at Inflexxion

     

    Required Skills

    • Demonstrated track record of scientific research and publication in peer-reviewed journals in areas related to clinical or health psychology, public health, or public health informatics
    • Experience should also include the design and implementation of health promotion or patient education interventions, evaluation design and execution, and/or public health informatics method or tool validation

    Duties

    • Leading multidisciplinary research teams,
    • Utilizing scientific and technical skills in conceptualizing, designing, obtaining support for, conducting, and managing grants from NIH, or other government, foundation, or industry sources.
    • Implementing dissemination activities through the publication of research papers, progress and technical reports, and presentation of posters and papers at scientific and professional meetings,
    • Designing, gathering, analyzing, preparing, and presenting data for use by sales and marketing personnel at Inflexxion,
    • Conducting (basic or advanced, as applicable) statistical analyses and collaborating with Inflexxion biostatisticians and epidemiologists,
    • As applicable, developing content for intervention programs with research teams or designing bioinformatics tools with Inflexxion’s technical team
    • Participating in Clinical Research group meetings
    • Directing the work of personnel on research projects, such and Project Mangers and Research Coordinators

     

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree in a quantitative, biostatistical, or behavioral science (e.g., psychology, epidemiology, psychometrics, medical sociology, or related clinical or public health field).  Experience with analyses of behavioral health data (e.g., LCA) is a plus.

    Candidates must have a minimum of two years relevant post-graduate research experience (may include post-doctoral training).  Clinical and/or research training with clinical populations (preferably addictions and pain patients) is a plus.

    Sales Support Associate

     

    Description

    We are looking for a Sales Support Associate to coordinate all aspects of communication and outreach with potential customers of the PainCAS product, an online chronic pain and opioid risk assessment tool for healthcare providers to use with chronic pain patients. This person will be accountable for responding to and following up on incoming demo, registration and information requests by phone and email. This person will also receive all incoming customer support requests and triage such requests appropriately to the PainCAS team. The Sales Support Associate will work closely with the PainCAS Product Manager to turn leads into customers of PainCAS. In addition, this position must be able to organize, coordinate, and support all sales functions with a high degree of attention to detail. The sales associate will be responsible for contacting new sales prospects, building relationships, and managing current customers. The ideal candidate has experience in sales and marketing in the healthcare field and is comfortable using SalesForce.

    PainCAS is a web-based pain and opioid risk assessment tool. It is designed to be implemented in the clinical setting where patients receive treatment for chronic pain. It enables a clinic to send or administer online pain and opioid risk assessments to patients and generates assessment reports for clinician review and inclusion in the patient’s electronic medical record.

     

    Required Skills

    • Experience in contacting leads and prospects via phone and email to determine situation and help propose solutions
