    Information Architect User - Experience Designer

     

    Description

    The Information Architect works closely with the Senior Information Architect and the UExD team to perform tasks in line with UCD principles and practice. Tasks include investigating the information seeking behaviors of users; gathering and refining design requirements; conceptualizing user interactions through wireframes, task-flow diagrams, and prototypes, and documenting processes throughout the project life cycle. The role requires a strong ability to communicate design concepts and solutions to non-designers, to work collaboratively, to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to meet deadlines. Usability testing experience and an interest in health behavior technology is a plus.

     

    Duties

    • Gather, organize and structure complex information for diverse user types
    • Generate clear task-flow, and information architecture diagrams
    • Conceptualize user interactions for varied user behaviors
    • Produce annotated wireframes using Visio (or other compatible wireframing software)
    • Communicate user experience design principles to cross-functional teams
    • Assist in usability test planning, executing, and reporting
    • User research
    • Working knowledge of sketching software, MS Visio, PC-based design applications.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Adept at white-boarding and brainstorming

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in HCI, Design, Cognitive Psychology, Library Science, or related field.
    • 3+ years of professional experience in user centered design methods
    • A minimum of 2 years in software product development environments
    • A minimum of 2 years working with design teams and creative processes such as white-boarding, brainstorming, and storyboarding
    • Portfolio of interaction design work for at least three web-based applications with a clear description of role on each sample

    Medical Writer

     

    Description

    This is a full-time, on-site position. The Medical Writer works closely with the Risk Management team. The Medical Writer will support the development, writing and editing of publications, manuscripts, study reports, abstracts, posters, proposals and supplements for medical/scientific journals/conferences. S/he will also develop and manage the scientific communication plan for the Risk Management area. The position also includes managing and editing the work of freelance writers.

     

    Duties

    • Conducting comprehensive literature review of relevant medical/scientific topics, utilizing the various information services available, including in-house resources, libraries, and databases
    • Writing manuscripts for medical/scientific publications in accordance with agreed brief and the following criteria: (1)Appropriate interpretation of data (2) Highest scientific accuracy (3) Incorporation of client/product messages when relevant
    • Working with clinical investigators, internal colleagues and interface with external biostatisticians in the development of publications
    • Responsible for ensuring appropriate internal review and sign-off of these publications
    • Development and management of scientific communication plan
    • Managing and implementing reference database
    • Work to effectively track publication process, submissions and updates in database
    • Developing tables and figures from primary data sources
    • Working with, editing and coordinating the work of outside freelancers when needed

     

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years experience functioning as a Medical Writer in the pharmaceutical industry, CRO or related organization
    • Academic degree in the health sciences (e.g., medicine, pharmacy, biology, psychology)
    • Fluent in spoken and written English
    • Excellent ability to interpret and present scientific and clinical trial data
    • Must possess strong scientific writing and editorial skills
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills
    • Must be independent, proactive, creative, innovative and able to handle a variety of projects simultaneously
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Experience implementing scientific communication plans is a plus
    • Requires initiative and the ability to maintain a high level of productivity with minimal supervision
    • Knowledge in computerized bibliographic, abstract, and database services preferred
    • Assimilate and utilize specialist knowledge, including that relating to disease area, pharmaceutical industry, opinion leaders, meetings, and journals
    • Knowledge of the journal publication process
    • Knowledge in pain, analgesics and clinical trials a plus
    • An understanding of statistical analyses a plus
    • Goal-oriented (even under pressure), systematic, flexible, and good analytical skills

    Project Manager

     

    Description

    We are seeking a Project Manager to facilitate various projects related to Inflexxion’s Pharmaceutical Risk Management area. Our services help pharmaceutical companies meet the FDA's risk management requirements.  The ideal candidate must have experience managing projects from conceptualization through implementation, including documenting requirements, client management, scope, and schedule and budget management.  


    The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating project team meetings to gather client requirements. The emphasis of the position is on gaining a thorough understanding of client needs through ongoing face-to-face interaction and translating those to a form that can be understood and used by the data management team.


    In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a project plan for all assigned projects. The Project Manager is expected to follow the guidelines set forth in the Project Lifecycle Methodology. The Project Manager is expected to provide regular status updates to the client (internal or external), project team, and management.

     

    Duties

    • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through the life cycle of the project
    • Manage contract initiation and renewal for assigned customers such as Pharmaceutical companies and other subscribers
    • Present results from key deliverables to clients via teleconference or in person meetings
    • Help resolve disputes, negotiate change orders, and communicate to all key stakeholders
    • Create and maintain project plans with milestones and work with team members to produce deliverables on time and within budget
    • Create statement of work for external and internal review
    • Prepare project metrics for reporting to management and other associates
    • Act as liaison among project team members and stakeholders
    • Responsible for project communication; ensures all project team members are informed of changes in direction, or any other information that will affect their ability to perform their role in the project
    • Take a lead role in issue resolution for projects and/or enhancements; ensure that the proper people are included so issues can be resolved in a timely manner
    • Develop a thorough understanding of work processes, user needs and client needs for segments of the business impacted by assigned projects
    • Lead cross-functional project teams through the project lifecycle using the standard methods established by Inflexxion’s Project Management Office

     

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years experience in a project management and account management role with BS/BA
    • Experience managing and communicating with clients
    • Expertise with project management tools and techniques
    • Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • Proficient with MS Project, and MS Office suite
    • Pharmaceutical experience is a plus
    • Sense of humor is a plus
